Advent Lutheran Church Ministries

We believe God has given every believer particular gifts to be used to serve others. We seek to serve God by making use of these talents and resources for the spiritual and temporal benefit of believers and the community at large.

Our ministries include:

• Easter Baskets for the Center for Food Action -- 77 delivered last year
• Rebuilding Together Bergen County
• Thanksgiving Baskets to Center for Food Action
• Back to School Backpacks - 50 filled backpacks were delivered to the Center For Food Action in Mahwah in August
• Hackensack Walk-in Dinners (throughout year)
• Center for Food Action in Mahwah (throughout the year)
• Teaneck Armory Food Assistance for deployed troops' families
• The Nurturing Place of York Street Project in Jersey City (year-round support and Christmas gifts)
• Youth Work Camp - every summer we sponsor a group of our high school students (and several adult counselors) who spend a week of their time on a rebuilding mission with other churches
• Site of the Wyckoff Family Y's Wysowl Nursery School
• Meeting place for Alcoholics Anonymous: Monday 9 pm, Friday 1 pm
• Meeting place for Wyckoff Branch of Valley Hospital Auxiliary
