WorkCamp: An Annual Tradition!

WorkCamp 2009

Oak Hill, West Virginia

June 28 - July 4

All teens of high school age (incoming freshmen included) are eligible to participate in Advent's annual WorkCamp trip. You don't have to be a handy person to touch the lives of those whose homes are in desperate need of repair! WorkCamp is a 6 day adventure that allows YOU to make a lasting impact on the homes and hearts of elderly, disabled and disadvantaged people. It feels good! We get to meet Christian teens from all over and make new friends, learn new skills and grow in our faith. It's awesome! Our WorkCamp groups have been to Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Hampshire, Vermont and upstate New York.  This summer 6 of Advent’s youth and two adults are spending a week repairing homes of elderly, disabled and disadvantaged people. This is the eighth summer our church’s young people have traveled to make a last­ing impact on others’ lives while experienc­ing the joy of helping others.
